ASU 80M, ASU 100M, ASU 120M

G.652D Aerial Self-Supported ASU Fiber Optic Cable has a loose tube structure and water-resistant gel compound to provide crucial protection for the fiber. Over the tube, water-blocking material is applied to keep the cable watertight. Two parallel fiber reinforced plastic(FRP) elements are placed on the two sides. The cable is covered with a single PE outer sheath. It is especially suitable for installation in aerial for long-distance communication.

Installation Guidelines

For optimal performance, aerial suspension installation is recommended. This installation method offers excellent efficiency, lower construction costs, enhanced operational safety, and effective protection of the optical cable.

During installation, use pulley-assisted cable pulling to prevent damage to the cable sheath. Install guide pulleys along the suspension route at intervals of approximately 20–30 meters. The pulling force should be carefully controlled throughout the installation process to avoid excessive tension.

Once cable pulling is completed, replace the guide pulleys with suspension hooks. The recommended spacing between suspension hooks is 50 ± 3 cm, while the first hook on each side of the pole should be positioned approximately 25 cm from the suspension fixing point.
