ADSS (All-dielectric Self-supporting) optical fibre cable is a type of self-supporting aerial fiber optic cable designed for aerial installation and deployment and is suitable for various outdoor applications. Because it is non-metallic, the ADSS cable is ideal for applications near high-voltage power distribution lines, for which it has become a standard.
*ATT:
Span: For ADSS optical cables, there are different spans. The span is the overhead distance between two towers. We produce in different spans from 50m to 1000m. If different spans, the cost will be different.
Jacket (double/single): For ADSS cables with a span less than 100 meters, usually Single Sheath/Jacket. If the span is 100 meters, you can choose single or double sheaths. If the span more than 100 meters, they are double-sheathed.
Jacket material: For operating environments of 36KV and below, the sheath material is PE; for 110KV and above, AT material sheaths are required. AT is an anti-tracking material and its cost is higher than PE.

ADSS Cable Features:
* Applies to transmission wavelengths 1310nm and 1550nm.
* The biggest advantage of ADSS optical cable is that the existing pole is used, and the optical cable does not need a suspender.
* Applicable to different span forms of 50-1000M, mainly using aramid yarn as reinforcement device, with good tensile strength, bulletproof performance, and good high and low-temperature performance.

The difference between aramid yarn and polyester yarn:
-
The strength and service life of aramid yarn are much higher than that of polyester yarn;
-
The aramid yarn used in ADSS is flame retardant, while the polyester yarn is not flame retardant. (You can try using a lighter to light the yellow “yarn”. If it continues to burn, it is polyester yarn. If it cannot be lit or it goes out after being lit, it is aramid yarn.)
-
The cost of aramid yarn is much higher than that of polyester yarn (more than ten times). If the quote you receive is significantly lower than Ebocom’s quote, it is 100% polyester yarn or other materials (or only adds a very small amount of polyester yarn)
Ebocom uses 100% aramid yarn. (If you need to reduce costs, please contact us for customization while ensuring quality)
