Product Description

Functional Application and User Profile

This 48 Core adss fiber optic cable is engineered expressly for aerial network deployments requiring self-supporting installation without messenger wires. Designed for local loops and campus network aerial spans up to 120 meters, it suits telecom operators, utility companies, and infrastructure contractors demanding cables that enable installation alongside energized power lines. The cable supports fiber counts up to 144 cores with a lightweight, compact diameter construct, appealing to users who prioritize minimizing mechanical load on existing support structures. Its compliance with industry standards affirms its applicability to professional network integration. This option is sourced from a reputable adss fiber optic cable manufacturer recognized for delivering tailored engineering solutions.

Technical Composition and Specifications

The cable’s structure combines a single-jacket design incorporating non-metallic strength members, specifically aramid yarn, ensuring high tensile strength and mechanical durability while maintaining dielectric properties crucial for installation near energized conductors. The central strength member uses fiber reinforced plastic, with gel-filled buffer tubes and S-Z stranding protecting optical fibers made with ITU G652D, G657A, and multimode variants. Outer sheaths include HDPE and AT jackets suited for environments with voltage ratings up to and above 35kV. The cable maintains a maximum allowable tension of 2500N and operates reliably between -10°C and +70°C. These specifications facilitate its use in high-voltage aerial fiber optic cable installations.

Industry Integration and Operational Value

In operational environments, this adss aerial fiber optic cable supports infrastructure projects where minimizing downtime is critical. Its design enables installation without power shutdowns, providing safety and economic efficiency for utilities and telecom networks running alongside high-voltage lines. The cable’s enhanced resistance to wind and ice loads reduces maintenance frequency. It serves backbone, campus, and local aerial network deployments, contributing directly to network reliability and longevity while easing installation complexities in challenging outdoor conditions. Procurement specialists find value in this fiber optic cable supplier’s consistent quality and compliance.

Product Advantages

Innovative Structural and Design Benefits

This adss fibre optic cable features a strategically lightweight, small-diameter design to limit mechanical stresses from wind and ice accumulation on aerial supports. The absence of metallic components in strength members removes risks of electrical interference and corrosion, a critical advantage for installations along energized power lines. Modular adaptability allows fiber counts scalable from 2 up to 144 cores, optimizing project-specific engineering requirements. The cable’s dual outer jacket offerings—HDPE and AT—provide versatility for varying high-voltage and environmental conditions, assisting network engineers in system integration without additional supports or reinforcements. The manufacturer’s expertise ensures that cable geometry and mechanical properties comply with IEC and TIA/EIA standards, enhancing reliability.

Operational Performance and User-Centric Features

From a performance standpoint, this adss fiber cable facilitates installation processes that do not require power line shutdown, reducing operational costs and minimizing service interruptions. Its gel-filled buffer tubes and water-blocking design deliver optical fiber protection against moisture ingress and mechanical strain, ensuring stable signal transmission over long spans. The cable tolerates a broad temperature range and stringent bending radius specifications, enabling deployment in diverse outdoor climates. User teams benefit from lower logistical burdens, easier handling, and versatile application possibilities that this adss fibre optic cable supplier provides. The product’s mechanical resilience and certified optical performance contribute to long-term network integrity in critical infrastructure projects.

What will affect the price of ADSS?

All Dielectric Self Supporting ADSS Cable is laid next to the power cable, so the material of the outer sheath needs to be designed according to the voltage. If it exceeds 110KV, it needs to use AT material, and if it is less than 110KV, it will use PE material.

The wind speed at the laying site, the thickness of the ice, the average temperature, and the most important span (the span refers to the distance between two utility poles) will all affect the tensile strength of the ADSS. If the tensile strength is not enough, the optical cable will be easily to be pulled off.

Finally, the customer should inform the number of fibers of the required ADSS cable, so that our engineer can design the ADSS according to the requirements.
